Taking my thrift shop/consignment/sale rack finds (with the occasional splurge) and mixing them with my love for girly, preppy fashion

Graduation Party!
Starting with my graduation party on June 2nd. I had a lot of fun and got to see many of the people I love all in one place. And it was so fun buying all the party supplies and decorating for the event! I decided to go for a Lilly Pulitzer-esque theme because who doesn't love Lilly?
Here are some pictures from the party! My mom ordered the cake from a local bakery, but it came plain blue with "Congratulations Alex" in the middle. I bought a can of icing and dyed it into 6 different shades of pink and green and actually painted the flowers on with a paintbrush myself! It was time consuming but very worth it!

Today's Yard Sale Find!
Today my school had a yard sale to raise money for our graduation party coming up at the end of May, and I went to sell baked goods for my senior project.
Anyway, I was looking through the piles of clothes and found a few cute things. A khaki jacket from Gap kids that fit me, a pair of J Crew chino pants, a cute dress with tags still on it, and one other amazing find.
A vintage late 1960's Lilly Pulitzer skirt in perfect condition and in my size. I about fell to the floor in shock. I have no idea why someone would donate such a valuable item to a yard sale, but I'm not complaining. It was only $1!
Here are photos of the skirt and of my day!

A Little Introduction
I have always loved preppy style - Lilly Pulitzer, Ralph Lauren, Vineyard Vines, and the like. However, it's not so fun spending all of my paycheck on a single item. So to get the style I want without breaking the bank, I shop at thrift stores, consignment stores, and sale racks. However, sometimes I do splurge and I think that's completely fine as long as I don't get too carried away ;)
I have a boyfriend named Joe that lives in Michigan. The distance is so hard but when I do get to see him we have the most amazing time - and he shares my love for fashion so I always get to play dress-up with him and find cute deals for him as well. I have a Westie named Cooper and he's the most adorable dog I think I've ever seen. I also ride horses about 3 times a week and work as a nanny after school and on weekends!
Here are a few pictures that sum up my life and what my blog posts will mostly consist of!
